When I was younger my hair was wild and crazy. No one else in my family had hair like I did. So, no one taught me how to fix it. Most of the time my hair was brushed when it was dry turning it into a big ole poof ball.
Then in my early teens hair straighteners became popular and I fell in love. I finally felt pretty because my hair finally looked presentable. I continued to straighten my hair all through my 20’s because, shocker, I still didn’t know how to fix my hair.
When I turned 30, I decided enough was enough and I was going to learn to embrace my natural curly hair. I’ve been on a journey to embrace my natural curls for a while now and I’ve learned some things, like how something as simple as a hairbrush can drastically change the look of your hair.
